Legal Generalities

Within this page will reside references to general principles of legal constructs that affect the production and consultation services offered here. As they are developed I will post presentations prepared for and given to people working in these fields and share observations made that allow one to become aware of the potential legal issues involved in production.

As a law school graduate who concentrated on film, video and media production aspects of law in his studies, combined with my history of production and consulting in these industries for decades, I have a wealth of perpective to impart to those that will benefit from a general knowledge about the area.

What this will not be is a place to find specific legal advice. For that you need to seek out a competent, practicing lawyer. This site is not to be taken as legal advice, only general information. Think of it as a legal educational crib sheet. You can't pass the test with it, but, at least you'll recognize the questions that show up and can take that knowlege to the proper sources for help.
